Subway

Beginning December 8, 2025, weekday service on the F and M lines will swap between Manhattan and Queens from approx. 6:00 AM–9:30 PM.

  • The M train will now stop at Roosevelt Island, 21 St–Queensbridge, Lexington Av/63 St, and 57 St.

  • The F train will no longer serve Roosevelt Island during these hours.

Evenings & Weekends: No change. The F train will continue to stop at Roosevelt Island at night and on weekends; the M will run its usual weekend and late-night routes.

The Park is a 15 min walk south of the subway station.

Alternatively, take Roosevelt Island’s free Red Bus to Southpoint Park and walk 3 min south.

Take the Ferry from E 34th St to the Roosevelt Island stop and walk 15 min south to the FDR Four Freedoms State Park.

Park Rules

Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park is a New York State Park and presidential memorial located on the southern tip of Roosevelt Island in New York City.

Help us maintain the State Park.

Rules

Food and beverages, except water, are restricted to designated areas of the Park

Commercial activities of any kind, including photography, prohibited without permit

Be courteous and respectful of all Park staff

Please do not obstruct entrances or walkways
