Censorship & the First Amendment

As a part of UNBANNED: Exploring Censorship in Books, Art, & Media, free speech lawyer and advocate Lee Rowland will give a broad overview of free expression values, the contours of the First Amendment, and a deeper dive into censorship threats in America today. Lee will discuss the basics of the First Amendment, current legal cases and public controversies involving free speech and censorship, and free expression trends in the law, legislation, and executive actions. After a 30m overview, Lee will answer any and all questions about the First Amendment, censorship, and free expression.
