UNBANNED invites audiences to understand the current challenges to free expression and learn more about the vital role of the Four Freedoms — particularly Freedom of Speech and Expression — in civic life.

This curated collection features books and media that have been challenged or banned in schools, libraries, and communities across the country.
Visitors are encouraged to read, reflect, and engage with the stories behind each book’s censorship, gaining a deeper understanding of the cultural and political forces shaping what we’re allowed—or not allowed—to read.
